Moorage

Marblehead

Moorings are being organized for racing yachts in the days leading up to the race.

Skippers should also consider Pickering Wharf in Salem; Jubilee YC in Beverly; as well as moorings in Manchester and Gloucester harbor. Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem is another option for slips.

Halifax

A Marina and Mooring plan is being prepared for all racing yachts. It will continue to evolve into July 2025. During the 2023 MHOR there were 53 yachts assigned to marina slips while 13 yachts were assigned to moorings. All marinas and slips were made available through the generosity of RNSYS members.

When Yachts arrive in Halifax, they shall contact the MHOR Dockmaster on Channel 69 as per the Sailing Instructions. Upon clearing Customs and Inspection, yachts will be provided their marina slip or mooring assignment by a Dock Officer located on the Customs dock and a “Following Me Boat” will provide escort.

All marina slips or mooring assigned to MHOR yachts will be available until 12 July 2025. Any yachts wishing to stay at RNSYS beyond 12 July 2025 will need to contact the RNSYS Dockmaster; Chris or Jeff; to make arrangements.

Tender service will be provided 24 hours a day and sailors are to hail this service on channel 68, calling “Squadron launch” and identify the mooring number you are assigned vs yacht name.

All other information related to RNSYS and Halifax is provided at Logistics/Halifax.
