While in Halifax have some fun and support a worthy cause.

This regatta will be held at Shearwater Yacht Club (SYC) on July 11, 2009 to celebrate those fighting for and the survivors of breast cancer. Proceeds go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Atlantic.

The event begins with a parade of sail along Halifax ’s waterfront in the morning before the race. Skippers are encouraged to dress boats for the parade by thinking pink, having fun and putting their best sail forward to the judges. In the afternoon the races will begin from SYC through Halifax Harbour. A BBQ follows the race with awards, silent auction, 50/50 and an outdoor dance with live music by Forty Fingers.

If there are any skippers that will have space on their boats and are willing to take out a breast cancer survivor during the parade of sail or race please contact me at the information provided below. If you are planning to attend this celebration please contact me for per-registration.
